We began traveling to the UK a few years ago, and wanted to visit a working sheep farm to see Border Collies in action. We never seemed to be able to connect with a farm near Oban, Scotland, so we contacted a breeder in Forfar. We became Facebook friends and were granted access to her kennel site. We made arrangements to spend an evening with her, and over time got to know her quite well. One thing that really impressed us was how thoroughly she health screened her dogs before breeding. We began to consider obtaining a pup from her, and then we received the following picture. That pretty much sealed the deal. Shortly before we left for Scotland in 2011, Lorna Doone (Borderbrook Beyonce) arrived in the U.S.
We visited again, this time for the express purpose of selecting another pup to bring home, and in August of 2012 we flew home with Stewart (Borderbrook Black Nite). Lorna and Stewart are our breeding pair. We will perform all of the health checks that ensure we are breeding to the highest ethical standards, in order to provide a prospective owner with the healthiest puppy possible.
Since then, we acquired Nemo, and have had multiple litters of tremendous puppies, two of which we have kept to continue our breeding lines.

We live on five completely fenced wooded acres with over a half mile of walking trails. Our two runs are large fenced wooded areas, with climate controlled shelters that keep our dogs comfortable all year-round. Our dogs are our pets, and as such we breed only as a hobby, not as professional breeders. You may rest assured that our puppies will be happy and healthy, as we have learned from one of the finest breeders in the UK. Lorna, Nemo and Stewart were all registered with the UK Kennel Club, and are now AKC registered via export pedigree.
Our dogs sleep inside our house, but when they don't have the run of the entire property, they stay in fenced runs of about 50x100 ft, and their own little cabins.
